Is this an emergency service?
No. If anyone’s life is in danger, the boat is sinking or on fire, call VHF Channel 16 (Mayday), Salvamento Marítimo on 900 202 202 or 112 straight away. We help with breakdowns and non-life-threatening situations.
How quickly can you reach me?
It depends on where you are, the sea conditions and the time of day. We’ll give you an honest estimate when you call. In the Mar Menor we’re often with you within the hour.
What should I do while I wait?
Put lifejackets on, anchor if you can do so safely, keep a lookout and keep your phone or VHF switched on. Our guide below explains step by step.
