This policy explains how Marine Services (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you use this website, contact us, book a service or buy from our online chandlery.

Who is responsible for your data

What we collect

Enquiries and bookings: your name, email address, phone number, details about your boat and engine, where it is kept and your message.
Shop orders: your name, billing and delivery address, email, phone, the products you order, your order notes and payment status. If you create an account, your login details and order history.
Payments: for bank transfers we see the payment in our bank account. We never see or store card numbers.
WhatsApp and phone: if you contact us this way, we receive your number and the messages, photos or videos you send.
Technical data: our web server keeps standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.

Why we use it and our legal basis

To reply to enquiries, prepare quotes and arrange and carry out work on your boat (steps before a contract, and performing the contract).
To process, deliver and support your shop orders, including returns and guarantee claims (performing the contract).
To keep invoices and accounting records as Spanish tax and commercial law requires (legal obligation).
To protect the website against misuse and keep it secure (our legitimate interests).

We do not sell your information, use it for advertising or send marketing emails unless you have asked us to.

Who we share it with

Our web hosting provider, which stores the website and its database within the EU.
Delivery carriers, who receive your name, delivery address and phone number to deliver your order.
Our accountant and tax advisers, where needed for invoices and tax returns.
Payment providers, if we add card payments in future; they process your payment under their own privacy policies.
WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp; their privacy policy applies to that service.
Public authorities, where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t lead to work or an order: deleted within 12 months.
Records of work carried out and shop orders: for as long as needed for guarantees, and invoices for the period required by Spanish law (normally 6 years).
Customer accounts: until you ask us to close your account.
Server logs: kept for a short period and then deleted.

This website uses only the cookies it needs to work, such as keeping items in your basket. See our cookie policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and Spanish data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Email info@marine-services.es and we’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use personal information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
